Research questions

1. What are the advantages / disadvantages of a school provided electronic archive/storage system?

• Should a public school set up an electronic space for files that can be accessed from any internet equipped computer?  Should this be limited to only teachers or include all students also. What are the downsides, advantages to either?  It is too much of a threat to the security of the school’s computer network/system.
• I would interview technology directors and computer service people to see what would be involved as well as that concerns they have on implementing such a system.

2. Does the use of computers in a learning environment favor one type of learner over another?

• Knowing that there are different types of learners, tactile, visual, and auditory; does the use of computers favor one or two of the types?  Are there alternatives and options that fill the gap if there is favoritism. This is becoming more and more important as computers are increasingly incorporated in to modern learning.
• I would research some alternatives to normal computer consoles as well as what types of lessons and techniques can be used to help encourage all types of learners.

3. Is it acceptable to require extensive computer work to be done at home?

• Not all children have the privilege of a computer in their home so is it acceptable to require school work that requires a computer when not in the classroom if there may or may not be a computer at home? There may be computers available in the school and even at after hours times but is it ok to require something that requires the use of these to do well?
• My methodology would be to look at the statistics of computers in homes compared to household income
